RCCG House of Joy For All Nations

Church History

The Community Outreach Ministries was called and ordained by God to rebuild the  broken spiritual walls of our communities. We believe our mandate is similar to that of Nehemiah. The idea to fulfil this vision was conceived in July 1997 but the inauguration of the Church took place on Sunday, 7th of December 1997 at the Woodpecker Childcare Centre. Many of our friends were in attendance including Dr. Hugh Osgood of Cornestone Christian Centre, Bromley. We stayed in this facility for two years and moved to the Scout Hall nearby. We stayed there for a few years before moving back to a newly renovated Woodpecker Centre at New Cross. In 2005, we moved to the Mulberry Business Centre. At the Outreach Centre, God did great and mighty things and this facility gave us a taste of what it means to have a premises you owned and controlled. We were able to plan and hosted various programs which were a real blessing to churches and the local communities. We developed a lot of projects geared towards helping the disenfranchised in society including our Southwark Stakeholders Forum and the Mulberry Faith Group which consisted most of the churhces in this facility. In July 2008, we moved to the Odeon becuse the premises was sold to developers for residential buildings. The good news is that we have been blessed with some committed members who believe our vision. Unfortunately, we have also lost members because of the constant move. We are praying for the day Community Outreach Ministries will have a permanent building so that we can fulfil everything the Lord has called us to do. Pray and partner with us.
