Seed Time and Harvest
As a church, we always want to be seen in the eyes of
God and man to be relevant in all we do. We always seek
the face of God in order to have a divine direction in
everything we do. We hear the Lord telling us to focus
on the principles of sowing and reaping. God is saying
that, as he has been faithful to his promise of seedtime
and harvest not ceasing, if we remain faithful to the principles
of sowing and reaping in accordance with true biblical
guidelines, we will experience a great harvest in everything
we do, especially in 2005.
The harvest will be so great
that we would have no room to store them unless we enlarge
our tents and barns. We are to sow generously in terms
of our devotion and commitment to God, we must sow in
terms of our time and talents and we must sow in terms
of prayer and evangelism and finally we must be faithful
in supporting the vision of the church through faithful
tithing and generous giving. God has
promised to rebuke the devourer, he has promised to give
us power and strength to earn wealth and he has promised
to build his church and the gates of hell shall not prevail
against it.
If we sow generously we will reap generously
because God is faithful to his words. If we sow to
the flesh or sparingly the outcome will be carnality and
lack in the body of Christ. “Lord we have heard your voice
and we will obey” This is our Seedtime and Harvest;
we will sow with greater expectation to reap bountifully.
Lord, we thank you for 2004 and we look forward to greater
things in 2005.
