To cater for the whole mans needs. To empower and enrich
spiritually, socially, physically, culturally, educationally,
economically through biblical truth, discipleship and teaching,
declaring the truth of the word of God. Helping to build
our community to be a vibrant and effective place for all
to live in.
The Community Outreach Ministries was birthed spiritually
in the summer of 1997 but officially inaugurated on the
7th of December. On that day the Spirit of the Lord stirred
something in my heart and I heard Him clearly say to me “Plant
a Church for me as a memorial to my name” The focus
of the church should follow the Nehemiah principle. It
must be a community oriented church set up to rebuild the
broken spiritual walls of our community. God spoke expressly
on the need for the church to bind wounds and recover sights
for the lost in our community. We were to have the community
and their needs as the bedrock of our ministry and vision.
God is faithful and He deserves all the praise. The people
have set their hearts and minds to build and we know that
the God of Heaven will prosper us as we his servants “Arise
and Build.” The building is not yet completed but
the foundation is firmly laid. The blue print was divinely
designed and therefore no other foundation can anyone lay
except this one, and only one foundation, JESUS the cornerstone.
We are proud of our name, vision and mission. We are profoundly
grateful to God today, for all the men, women and children
he has brought together in this family and community based
church. We thank God for all the friends of the Community
Outreach Ministries. We thank God for his grace and mercy
and look forward to the next six years with great expectation
of what the Lord can and will do in our midst. We wholeheartedly
welcome you today as you join us in giving thanks and praise
to our master Jesus Christ, the head of the Church.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, the Ministerial Council
and the entire family of this church, I say thank you from
my heart and we look forward to continual fellowship with
you.
